Kharkov comes a loooog way in terms of food and places to go to meet people and have a drink. I remember when I just arrived in the city in 2007, all you could find were those soviet style joints where whatever you would order would come covered in mayonnaise. You would order a Gin Tonic, and get a glass of Gin, and some Tonic on the side. Same thing for a Vodka Orange. Places would be kitch as hell, be expensive and obviously nobody was in the kitchen.
