Kozhedub Air Force University is the leading multiple-discipline high school, with high scientific potential, strong material and technical basis. The University has numerous famous graduates: 513 Heroes of the Soviet Union, 27 cosmonaut-pilots (among them is O.A.Leonov – the first man who stepped out into the space, L.K.Kadenyuk - the 1st cosmonaut of independent Ukraine).  
The University has the following faculties:

• the faculty of army air defence;
• aviation faculty;
• the faculty of automatic control systems and aviation combat operations ground support;
• the faculty of antiaircraft artillery troops;
• the faculty of radio engineering troops of air defence;
• the faculty of postgraduate education;
• the faculty of information and technical systems. 

Here the laboratories and classrooms of the University are equipped with simulators, computers and real weapon samples.
