It is state museum which was founded in 1920. Modern Kharkov Historical Museum has 4 departments: primitive society, feudalism, capitalism and soviet period. The museum has rich collection of archeological finds: finds from settlements of bronze era, finds of Saltovskiy catacomb burial grounds of VIII-X centuries, set of things from Donetsk site of ancient settlement.
Moreover, the museum exhibits displays from the time of foundation of Kharkov, numismatics, ethnographical collections, weapons and flag collections. Also here you will see rare documents, pictures, samples of domestic and foreign origin, soviet and german insignia and battle awards of different periods and many other interesting things of that period. Outside you will see tank T-34 and four cannons which were used by the Red Army in 1941—1945.

It works everyday except Mondays from 10.00 to 17.00.

   Hey! I am afraid, you will have to go there personally and prepay for the table. If you are not a big company and it is a a normal day (without special guests), do not bother with reservation, just come earlier - there surely will be some tables to take.
