Alaverdi Georgian restaurant

This restaurant is located at the crossroads of Ivanova and Chernishevskogo.

A real Georgian restaurant run by Georgians. Amazing food which follows all three rules of Georgian cuisine: cheap, big portions, rich. A hospitable waitress Aliso will make you feel a desired guest here. They serve great Georgian wine which is worth tasting. Khachapuri, dolma, sausages, fried cheese, eggplants stuffed with nuts - all tastes just the same as in Georgia. They do not treat you as a client - they treat you as a guest. We asked once for a salad they do not have in menu (a vegetable one) and since then they do have it in menu (not in a written one - you just need to ask for salad "Aliso" ;)). One big minus is that they have issues with ventilation. Each time we come back from "Alaverdi", we bring the smell of kitchen on our clothes. If you come at night and you are lucky enough to meet a company of Georgians, you could even taste a bit of their culture. Like we did the other day:
